A patient with multiple myeloma can be on a cocktail of drugs to help treat this disease. Monthly visits with your oncology nurse help support patients living with this disease.
The challenge
The multiple drugs and when to take them can be confusing and hard to track for new and existing patients. The Oncology Nurses handwrite instructions during the patients' clinic visits to help them keep track however, this sometimes hard to read and understand, each nurse will provide instructions in their way and manual calculations of dates can lead to human error.
The Solution
A simple tool was created for oncology nurses to use with patients. The treatment scheduler allowed the nurse to select multiple drugs for a patient in one interface. The drugs selected give the correct calculation of when the drug should be taken and provide the patient with the exact dates.

The nurse could save these schedules to be reused or updated for the next patient saving time and providing better patient care.
