The Overview

Pfizer Hospital is responsible for the supply demands of Pfizer drugs to their customers (Hospitals). They serve these hospitals through contracts, discount purchases and supply demands, especially when out of stock.


The Challenge

Hospitals would receive weekly updates about what is in or out of stock when ordering drug suppliers from Pfizer. This usually was in the form of an excel spreadsheet and sent via email. Hospital pharmacists would check against this information when placing orders for Pfizer products.


The problem was that emailing these updates got lost in their inbox. They would get confused as to what version of the file to look at. It was hard to search for the product you were after and difficult to see what was back in stock.


The Solution

A simple online/offline app allowed Pfizer to share this information in a central spot, bringing real-time data to their customers. The data was designed and grouped by the stock status, enabling customers to find products based on their status supply quickly. Data was loaded into the app daily, and customers also could favourite their commonly ordered products.


The introduction to push notifications gave customers a quick alert about products back in stock, allowing them to take action and order if required.
